Well, all these things are just popping into my head- but the one story that Frankie and I both tell (he has more fun telling this one) is the time he set my clock for 3AM!
Without my knowledge he went into my room, set the clock and everyone went to sleep. Promptly, at 3AM the clock radio went on - full blast - with the song "Hold That Tiger" by Spike Jones.
Needless to say I jumped out of bed trying to turn the fool thing off - couldn't find the knob - finally I got it off. By that time my Mom was in the room (hair standing straight up) giving me the "Oye, Nina, que tu estas haciendo? Estas loca? Poniendo el radio a las tres de la manana?"
Well I tried to explain to her that this was Frankie's doing and not mine - we both went into his room and there was Mr. Angel asleep (he was pretending). I was ready to throttle him right there and then - but Mami said - "Look at him - if he had done it he would be awake - and he's fast asleep!"
Well - after many years - Frankie admitted it and told me how he was laughing hysterically when the radio went off - but since Mami and I were having a conversation, he was able to compose himself long enough so that we would think he was asleep.
As adults we laugh over that one a lot!
