Mili,
I know this posting is late, but I've just got around to reading through some of these.
I don't understand how it is that you can write about the pain and suffering you experienced in your life, without being attacked, but accuse other cousins of being "non-Christian" when they want to expose the pain and suffering your Tia Donna went through. Your cousins have not "accused", they have only "revealed" past history in attempt to heal this family. Past occurances can be changed! (Look what happened with your grandparent's tomb.)
I'm sorry Puerto Rico holds so much pain for your family in the form of neglect (of your sisters and brothers, of the gravesite and of others), but how can you refer to "casting the first stone" and forgiveness? You also cast stones (against the nuns and priests of Mt. Loretto) and are the first to blind yourself to forgiveness, attacking others as not loving one another?
Jesus exposed the crimes of the persecuted before asking those who stoned them to forgive them... How can a family heal itself, if it doesn't talk about its transgressions as well as its accomplishments? You know this already and harbor a lot of internal pain, but the world is not all-loving. Fantasies don't bring a world together, they entertain and isolate its inhabitants. Sharing and forgiveness begin with tolerance and acceptance of both negative and positive....
